University departments and student organizations from across campus have collaborated on a full day of activities to help you prepare for the end of the semester. Chair massages, study sessions, de-stress activities, therapy dogs, snacks, and more – all FREE to Wayne State students! All events will take place in the Student Center. Please be prepared to show your OneCard to participate.

Need a quiet place to study? These meeting rooms will be unlocked and available for students from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. on a first come, first served basis.

Peer-Assisted Learning: Finals Week Study Sessions

Please join the tutors and your peers for some extra support as you gear up for finals week. Tutors will be available to provide assistance during the day for selected subjects. Presented by the Academic Success Center.


Supplemental Instruction

Join the Supplemental Instruction (SI) leaders for an extra boost to be ready for finals week.  SI leaders will review important concepts with effective learning strategies and study skills to best remember the material. Bring your questions, study materials, and actively prepare for your upcoming exam. Recharge before finals with the Study Skills Academy Team! Dim lighting, coloring, self-directed yoga/meditation, and tea will help put you in a state of calm. Take a creative and relaxing study break and join us to make your own zen garden! Zen gardens are made with sand and props to create relaxing landscapes. The sand is traditionally raked in repetitive patterns, which can help to center your thoughts during the craziness of finals! Not only are zen gardens fun to make, but they also provide you with a take-home tool so you can take the stress relief on the go! Presented by the Campus Activities Team.

Escape Adulthood - Story Time & Childhood Fun!

Come join the Residence Hall Association in taking a study break at the silent dance party.  We will provide headphones and the DJs, who will spin numerous genres of music. You can dance and listen to three different DJ's with our light up wireless headphones! Sometimes a little silence gets us through the toughest times... come let loose before finals at our silent disco! The program is free and will be only for Wayne State students (WSU OneCard will be required, and we will be using the CORQ app for check-in).
